The Consortium Vini Oltrepò Pavese and Gambero Rosso will lead a masterclass to show the potential of this terroir through 10 of the greatest Pinot Nero cuvée produced within the province of Pavia that will be served in magnum. For more than 150 years, the Oltrepò Pavese has produced Metodo Classico and Pinot Nero wines. The zone has a perfect spumante style based on high acidity, intensity and structure. The number of awards in Vini d’Italia is growing every year thanks to many young producers of the area who are raising the bar. In total 3,000 hecaters of vines are cultivated under pinot noir which makes Oltrepò the leader in Italy and the third in Europe for this variety.
